Stuart Yates has been designing and building gardens across Melbourne's east since 1994. He is horticulturally trained, and his favourite part of any project is plant selection. What will actually thrive in your soil and aspect, and how the planting supports the way you use the outdoor space.
The rest of the Lochaven team was chosen for the same ethos. A quiet love of gardens, respect for materials, and a genuine care for the families we build for. As a team we work well together on site, and it shows in the finish and in the way the gardens hold together years later.
We love bringing spaces to life. New homes, established homes, second homes, gardens readied for sale, and gardens rebuilt to suit the next chapter of family life. The scope changes. The care does not.
Thirty years in the east has taught us the soils, the aspects, the councils, and the way a garden ages in this pocket of Melbourne. We use honest materials, build to hold, and bill by the hour so you only pay for the time we actually work on your block.
