Driveways & Concreting

Driveways, crossovers, slabs and pathways in exposed aggregate, honed and coloured concrete.

Designed for the site. Built for the long run.

A driveway is the first piece of landscape anyone sees, and it takes more load than anything else on the property. We prepare the base properly, set the falls, reinforce for the traffic it will carry and finish the surface so it reads as part of the entry rather than an apron of grey.

What it brings to the project

  • Durable surfaces built on properly prepared bases
  • Falls and drainage set before the pour
  • Finishes chosen to suit the architecture
  • Clean junctions with paving, planting and edges

Well suited to

  • New and replacement driveways
  • Council crossovers
  • Paths, courtyards and shed slabs
  • Parking areas for larger properties

Materials and landscape elements

Material selection is resolved in context. We consider the home, weather exposure, expected use, maintenance and how each finish will sit beside the planting as the garden matures.

  • Exposed aggregate
  • Honed and polished concrete
  • Coloured and broom-finished concrete
  • Concrete with stone or paver banding

How we approach the work

01

Set out

Alignment, widths, turning space, levels and drainage are confirmed on site.

02

Prepare

Excavation, base compaction, formwork, reinforcement and any drainage are completed.

03

Pour and finish

The slab is poured, finished to the chosen texture, jointed, cured and edged.

Common questions

Do you handle council crossovers?

We coordinate crossover works as part of the agreed scope. Requirements and approvals vary between councils, so we check what applies to your property.

Why does concrete crack?

Movement is normal in concrete. Adequate base preparation, reinforcement, correct thickness and properly placed control joints keep it managed and unobtrusive.
